Your legacy starts here.

Together, we can build a better tomorrow.

Legacy or planned giving refers to making a charitable gift as part of a donor’s financial or estate planning. These gifts are typically arranged in the present and allocated at a future date, often after the donor’s lifetime.

What is the benefit?

  1. Personal Satisfaction: Donors can leave a lasting legacy that reflects their values and passions.
  2. Tax Benefits: Many planned gifts offer significant tax advantages, such as income tax deductions and reduced estate taxes.
  3. Financial Flexibility: Donors can make a substantial impact without affecting their current financial situation.

A Legacy of Hope: Jane’s Gift to Eliada

Jane Thompson* had always been passionate about supporting children and families in her community. As a long-time Eliada supporter, she deeply believed in the organization’s mission to provide comprehensive care and education to those in need. When Jane began her estate planning, she wanted to ensure her legacy would continue to make a difference long after she was gone.

Jane decided to include a bequest in her will, designating a portion of her estate to Eliada Homes, Inc. By doing so, Jane was able to make a significant impact without affecting her current financial situation.

Upon Jane’s passing, her generous legacy gifts were put to work immediately. The funds from her bequest helped to expand Eliada’s early childhood education program, providing more children with access to 5-star Child Development. The life insurance proceeds were used to update some of the residential facilities, creating a safer and more comfortable environment for the youth in Eliada’s care. Additionally, the retirement assets fund Eliada’s Alumni scholarship program, ensuring that previous recieptents of Eliada’s services could receive assistance with college tuition.

Jane’s legacy gifts provided critical funding for these initiatives and we hope will inspire others in the community to consider Eliada in thier plans. Through her thoughtful planning and generosity, Jane’s legacy continues to bring hope and opportunity to countless children and families. Her impact will be felt for generations to come, a testament to the power of legacy giving.
